Hey everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your holiday time off. Just wanted to start the New Year off right with a post to let you know what’s in store for you guys here in 2008.
First off, let me give you the latest update on Don’s book. He sent out a little year-end update to some friends and according to that “they are hoping for a late 2008 release”. I wish i had more to give you, but as of right now I don’t.
Also according to his letter, “A Million Miles in a Thousand Years” is still a tentative title. So hold off on getting that tattoo until it is made official.
One thing you can be sure of. When the book has a release date and Thomas Nelson wants to start building buzz for it, we will do everything we can do to be a part of it. We’ve already been in contact with TN about helping with the book’s promotion, as I’ve hinted here before, and it seems that they are excited to work with us/you all. So stay tuned for that.
Will Don be answering any more fan questions this year? I have no idea. You can keep submitting them if you like. Hopefully he can find some time to do that.
If you attend any speaking events this year, let us know about it in the comments section, or by emailing me at bryanallain-at-gmail-dot-com and we’ll get your reviews posted.
I’m curious as to what you all would like to see more of here at DMF. Other than direct correspondence from Don, which I can’t make happen, what sort of stuff would you all like to see? More blog reviews of Don’s writing? More interviews with Don? What about rereading one of Don’s books together as a community and using the comments section as a sort of book club discussion? Let me know if you have any ideas…
one final thing that doesn’t have as much to do with Don…I wanted to let you all know about a website I (bryan) started up in October called Prayers For Blowouts. It’s a site that comments on the frequent collisions of sports and faith, whether it’s serious issues like Christian athletes who thank God after games to lighter stuff like athletes who look like members of Jars of Clay. It’s a lot of fun, and I plan on spending more time on it in 2008, so if you like sports and you’ve got some faith, come check it out.
(I’m also working on a book that will probably have the same name, so if anything miraculous happens with that…like say a publisher picks it up…I’ll be sure to let you all know about it.)

I just read the following of Don on Wikipedia:
On January 2,2008 he officially announced that he was homosexual. Christian leaders have been up in arms ever since the announcement decarling Miller “The Anti-Christ.”
I haven’t been able to substantiate this at all but I was wondering if anyone heard anything like this. Shoot me an email @ johnnyleprechaun@hotmail.com God bless guy.
