not much to update

Its been a long time since I updated this site, so I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you what has been going on the last few weeks. In the last few weeks I read a couple of books. I mowed the lawn for the first time this season. Great feeling there. I fixed the leaf blower. I paid taxes. I bought the first season of Extras and its pretty good so far. I went to the gym. I worked.
Perhaps more will happen in the next few weeks. Or you could always go to Philip Yancey or Anne Lamott’s website. I seriously have to get a life.

Well - my thoughts are spiratic right now, but I’ll quickly summarize them as I am compelled to share… I saw you speak at Women of Faith and thought “Wow, there IS someone out there who sort of thinks like I do…”
I tried ordering your book, but it was no longer available so I was refunded…. then, as I was shopping for my husband’s birthday gift on Amazon, there you were.. in my latest searches library… and I ordered Searching For God Knows What. I received it - right at my desk at work - today…. and I hate to admit I snuck in the first chapter within the last hour because it is so compelling and I am hardly able to keep it aside as I finish my work day. Thank you - thank you for who you are, and for your efforts. God is good.
Sincerely,
Rachel Winters

YOU will be in Baarington in June. I am debating whether or not to sign up for that art conference with the chance of possibly showing you some of chicago…..This is right before i leave for Ndola and would love to ask you a few questions about some different topics. I am seriously thinking i will have to book you for a one man (woman) show. Now that would be a story….

… OK. I can relate to Dana considering booking you for her very own Q&A. In the more than likely event that I never actually do - please reserve me a time slot in heaven so we could have a nice long chat over coffee. Or a pint.
I read your Dragon book a couple months ago (even though I’m a girl) and had the priviledge of listening to you recently at MacMurray’s class - which was very cool, and still thought-provoking today.
Thank you for being a voice for God - a voice that isn’t rhetoric, isn’t tame, isn’t … beige.
(FYI: I had read (in an otherwise really great book) about the reason David picked 5 stones and the significance each had. It bugged me. Really bugged me. But I had to wonder if it was my problem - since the author was so well known and certainly more . . . godly.)

I think sometimes the seemingly bland can also be the most fun :). For heavens sake, please, please, please come somewhere near the Florida Panhandle! There is a group of college students who live there and would give up a month of Easy Mac to come see you! I know this, because I am one of them.
