August 16th.
Derek Webb is giving away his new album Mockingbird for free. The album is his latest release, and it’s terrific. I find myself listening to that album, as well as his previous release “She Must and Shall go Free” quite often. To receive the free album, visit www.freeDerekWebb.com

editor’s note: freederekwebb.com is up and running now, but the album will not be available for free download until September 1st. Go check it out, and read why Derek is giving away his music for nothing.

Yes, I heard about that from Derek’s podcast and I’m quite looking forward to the first.

I heard about that a while ago also, I think that’s pretty cool. I am still going to look for the actual CD to buy it, because, well yea that’s just what I do. Still, good stuff Derek.

Relevant had him on the cover a few issues ago. This album didn’t even need to grow on me, rather, I found out I was already growing on it.
My favorite verse…” I will protest the sword if it’s not wielded well, my enemies are men like me. ”
Yeah, go D.W.
Peace.

Hey, I’m a Derek Webb fan too. I noticed you mentioned you liked “Mocking Bird” and “She Must and shall go free”, what are your thoughts on “I see things upside down”?. Also have you heard or seen (seeing is better) Andrew Peterson? He’s a different style, but uses lyrics from his heart much like derek (though a little softer). Also, I would love to get CD’s or tapes of this John Sail-something that teaches on Moses… is that possible?
Jonathan Bailey
p.s. I like your books a great deal and appreciate your mind and heart, but I know you hear that a lot.
p.s.s. I wish this thing had spell check… I’m a terrible speller…your an author… how imbarrising(sp?)
