?? must-read chess books ??
Published by bryan | Filed under Don Answers your ???s
Don,
“The game of chess… is like a sword fight… you must think first, before you move†Thus sayth the Wu-Tang Clan, if I remember correctly from my high school years… anyways, just got through with TOAD and was wondering where I could go to get some hints/strategies for a newbie chess player. Your insight on the game has me craving for some checkmatin’… Any websites or books that are must-reads on the game?
Thanks!
Derek,
Oooh, a terrific question. And one I have no answer to. Not sure at all. I learned with my friend Curt, and we played almost every day for over a year. I don’t play much anymore, and am not sure what is going on in Chess culture. But if you do learn, consider tutoring somebody younger than yourself. It’s a great way to teach young men and women the importance of making good decisions. Sorry no answer for you, but all the best…
Don
